Trump Sticks To Wuhan Coronavirus Lab Leak Theory As Evidence Mounts

In a new documentary aired over the week, comments from former president Donald Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo indicate they are more convinced than ever that the Dec 2019 COVID-19 outbreak leaked from a coronavirus research lab close to the site in Wuhan where Chinese authorities even confirmed the global pandemic originated.

Wuhan Institute of Virology has been studying coronavirus using bats as host organisms for decades. The bats’ genome is a natural reservoir for coronavirus, which is also contagious and among humans through droplets on surfaces. The lab that advanced the coronavirus research is a mere block away from the so-called wet markets where Chinese authorities have said coronavirus was initially transmitted to humans from live bats.

It didn’t exactly take a rocket scientist to connect the dots and find that curiously suspicious in the least. Yet early in the coronavirus pandemic, big tech social media and news aggregator giants like Facebook and Google suppressed information and theories about the possibility of a Wuhan lab leak causing the global coronavirus pandemic of 2020.

Yet as the months wore on, the conspiracy theorists looked increasingly more and more right in their suspicions, and as new information became available, that trend continued through Q3 of 2021. They might as well start calling conspiracy theories “spoiler alerts” because the fringe lunatics are always right when they’re able to back up what they’re saying with facts. Still, by the time we’re allowed to know that, the political power has already been seized. The damage of writing and artful political censorship on social media platforms has been done.

The former president doesn’t believe the coronavirus was deliberately engineered to be a bioweapon or let loose from the lab to affect the U.S. elections or for some other nefarious purpose. Trump said, “I think that it escaped from the lab through incompetence.” The former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe also said there is “compelling evidence” the 2020 wave of coronavirus originated in a lab in Wuhan, a claim backed up by former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

The real kick is that the United States federal government sent funding to the lab for this research using the taxpayer’s dollar, creating blowback like no other. Instead of getting to appropriate trillions in 2020, after seeing what happens when the government spends your money, its budget should have been dialed down. That’s what should have happened. Trump helped it spend more is probably a significant part of his downfall at the ballot booth. But now, Biden and the Democrats want to spend even more. Much more.

And they’re covering up for Dr. Fauci’s recent crimes in lying to Congress while under oath about funding gain-of-function research, in which the coronavirus’ ability to infect different kinds of cells is increased in some way. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is trying to hold him to account, but Democrats want to sweep the U.S. governments’ role in this under the rug to protect Fauci, Biden, and Obama.
